Can I share a little secret? Hint..it’s my grandmothers secret…

My grandma Hazel was beautiful. My grandma was 70 when I was born but you wouldn’t have guessed it. So growing up I watched some of her wrinkles get deeper and more beautiful. She had secrets. Her smile, lines around her eyes, and her dimples on her cheeks were always there, yet her skin was smooth and soft, and she had this useful flare that was with her until she passed at 96.

If you’re anything like me, you probably start your day with a cup of coffee.   Well, as one of my readers … I’ll let you in on one of her little secrets… its good news for you – and a simple way to perk up your coffee routine, make your mornings more exciting and a way to keep they youthful beauty..  

In the morning my Grandma would add just a dash of cinnamon to her morning “cuppa”. That’s right, cinnamon. She would say with a twinkle in her eye… “Cinnamon is not just for your favorite fall treats. cinnamon is special is keeps you young.” And one of those benefits is that it can make your coffee taste even yummier! 

My grandma was wise beyond her years. … for she knew about cinnamon. And what’s interesting is Cinnamon coffee is now becoming increasingly popular. And as Grandma knew, for good reason. First, it taste delicious, AND it has some amazing health benefits.

So if you’re looking for a way to keep that youthful Vibrance, start out your morning with a pinch of cinnamon to your “cuppa!”Cinnamon is full of antioxidants which can help your body fight free radical damage that comes from things like pollution and stress.

Adding it to your coffee in the morning can help you start your day feeling energized and ready to go, including helping you stay alert and focused throughout the day.

Cinnamon also has anti-inflammatory properties, which can help you keep your joints healthy and functioning properly. So if you suffer from joint pain or inflammation, adding cinnamon to your coffee could be a great way to get relief.

How to add cinnamon to your coffee routine 

Adding cinnamon into your coffee routine is very easy, and this simple step can make all the difference in the flavor of your cuppa. Here are the best ways to do it:

1. Spice your coffee before brewing – Add a couple of pinches of cinnamon to the grounds before you start making your cup of coffee. This will allow the cinnamon to mix with the coffee and impart its flavor during the brewing.

2. Sprinkle it on top – Sprinkle the cinnamon on top of the brewed coffee, just before you enjoy it. This is a great way to get the flavor and aroma that the cinnamon will bring to your coffee.

3. Add it to the milk – If you like to add milk to your coffee, directly add the cinnamon to the milk. This way, the flavor of the cinnamon will be infused into your coffee.

4. Make a syrup – You can also make your own cinnamon syrup and add it to your coffee. Just mix a couple of tablespoons of sugar, a teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and ½ cup of water in a saucepan. Heat it until the sugar and cinnamon dissolve then bring it to boil. Let it boil until it reduces and thickens in texture. This can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator and you can use it to sweeten and flavor your coffee.
